About Wendi Isaacson
Wendi Isaacson is a dance teacher, choreographer, and professional tap dancer.
Wendi Isaacson holds her degree from Brigham Young University, where she graduated with University Honors in English and Dance Education. While at BYU she was an original member of the tap company “Foot Poetry” under the direction of Colleen West. She was a performer in World of Dance and Homecoming Spectacular each year, as well as Christmas Around the World as a member of the BYU Folk Dance Team. As a senior at BYU, she was one of 3 dance students selected to represent BYU at the National Dance Festival in Tuscon, Arizona.
Wendi is the Founding Artistic Director of Rhythm Nation Tap Company, and Time Bomb Tap Company, both based out of Utah. She has directed the Utah Tap Fest since 2018. In 2019 she debuted her first full-length tap choreography, "A Very Jazzy Nutcracker," which is a full-length tap dance version of the Nutcracker and set to jazz music. It has become an annual holiday favorite in Utah.
She has trained under tap greats including Colleen West, Dianne Walker, Rusty Frank, and Savion Glover. She is committed to learning and preserving historical tap pieces.
Her team and solo choreography has won many awards at the state as well as national level.
Wendi is a highly sought-after teacher and is an adjunct faculty member at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. She coaches the Center Stage Tap Company and teaches at several Utah studios.
Wendi is committed to teaching the highest level of technique, and inspiring her students to achieve personal bests every day.
